We recently shot video and photos for Exodus Arts in Decatur, IL. It was a neat experience and all the kids did great. Here is a quick video to show you a bit of what went down!

If you hire a photographer or videographer to capture your wedding day, then make it count.
The best way to do this is get yourself a wedding planner or close family friend who can help you throughout the day - keeping you and your wedding party on task and on time. In the end, it's your wedding. You can do what you want. But if you want more out of your photographer, then you need to have a good gameplan for the wedding day and stick to it. If you plan to start pictures at 2pm, then make sure you are ready for them at 1:45! We've had couples who have been 1-2 hours late at times. All this does is put you way behind schedule and in the end it will mean less coverage for you, and in a way, wasted money. We really don't like to see that happen. We want you to get what you paid for and we'll do everything we can to make sure that happens. But if you're an hour late, there's not much we can do to make that time up. The wedding day goes fast, so make sure to have a plan and stick to it as much as possible. You'll thank yourself later. We will be back at Allerton Park in Monticello this Saturday to shoot a wedding. Allerton Park is such a beautiful spot for a wedding. So many options for a photographer/videographer. We always look forward to shooting there (as long as the weather is good).
So pray for good weather! :) As part of our new services, Best. Gift. Ever. ( www.bestgiftever.us ), we transfer old home movies.
Recently we have transferred some movies from old 8mm reels to DVD. It's really fascinating watching these silent movies, and wondering what it was like back then. Pictures are cool, but there's just something about video that really takes you back to that time period - much more than a photo can. Call us sentimental, but man, does looking at old videos just make you dream. - Jim Hey friends! Would you be willing to write a review of our business, and tell the folks from Thumbtack what we were like to work with, and the quality of our work? If so, we would be forever grateful!
Thank you! All you have to do is click the link below that says "Wilkerson Studios" I spend a lot of time talking about how important video is for a wedding. Although pictures still trump it, a wedding video is quickly becoming a big desire for most new couples. They are starting to see the value. If I had a dollar for every older couple who tells me "man, I wish we would have gotten a wedding video done," I surely would be a rich man. There's just something about being able to SEE & HEAR your family....to hear the toasts and not just have a picture of them holding a glass up...to see the tears come down the check, and not just see a frozen tear in time. This little video clip is a good example of that. Check it out...and think twice if you are considering NOT doing a wedding video. You just might regret it later. Here's the video: Daddy's Girl from Wilkerson Studios on Vimeo. Today we got a call from a past customer, Alex. We did his wedding photography and video a couple of years ago. Alex and his wife were so happy with what we did that they referred us to one of their family members who is getting married this summer.
That family member cannot afford the services, and guess what? Alex liked our work so much that he decided to cover their photography as a wedding gift! What a nice gift, and what a nice thing to know that people like our work so much that they are willing to do that! Welcome to the new Wilkerson Studios website!
We are looking forward to some warmer weather and some spring and summer weddings! Busy season, here we come! If you wouldn't mind, please share our website with others, and like our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/wilkersonstudios Thanks for your support! - The Wilkersons |
